Meet Megan, the owner of Midwest Autism & Psychological Services. Megan has 11 years of experience in evaluating and providing services to children on the Autism Spectrum. Megan has a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, with a LPCC license. Megan is a board approved Clinical Supervisor through the MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. She has a passion for working with children and families affected by ASD, as well as providing trauma informed care to children and adolescents within our community. Megan's mission in starting MAPS is to provide early intervention screening and diagnosis to children exhibiting early signs of ASD. The hope is to close the gap for long waiting periods families are currently experiencing in getting their child evaluated. Megan understands how imperative it is for families to access early intervention services as soon as possible. Navigating an Autism diagnosis can be overwhelming and difficult for families. MAPS is committed to helping families navigate and begin their journey.
Meet Mandy, she is a seasoned professional with over 11 years of dedicated experience in evaluating and providing services to children on the Autism Spectrum and their families. Mandy provides initial assessment/evaluation, Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluations (CMDE) and Qualified Supervising Professional (QSP) services for EIDBI services, as well as Clinical Supervision for clinical trainees and pre-licensed professionals. In her role as a board-certified Clinical Supervisor, Mandy goes beyond direct care, empowering fellow professionals with leadership and training.
With a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tennessee Technological University, she possesses a strong foundation in mental and behavioral health care. Throughout her career, Mandy has honed her skills in assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis, ensuring accurate and comprehensive support for her young clients. Her expertise extends beyond diagnosis, as she is deeply committed to utilizing trauma-informed and person-centered practices, fostering an environment of empathy and understanding.
She is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families impacted by Autism and related conditions. Whether conducting assessments, evaluations, or providing therapeutic interventions, Mandy's commitment and compassion make her a reliable partner for individuals and their families navigating the intricacies of autism spectrum disorder and early intervention services.
Meet Dr. Teer, she is a pediatric clinical psychologist and former nationally certified school psychologist. She provides comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess various disorders including learning, psychiatric, and behavioral using a variety of sensitive diagnostic measures. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Fraser, Minnesota’s largest and most experienced provider of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and early childhood mental health services. In addition, she completed specialized assessment training through the University of Minnesota to assess and diagnose ASD more accurately. Dr. Teer is well versed in school processes and enjoys helping families navigate the special education system. She provides an empathic and optimistic approach and strives to respond holistically to the diverse strengths and differences of her young patients. Dr. Teer strongly believes close collaboration with families is vital as parents and caregivers know their children best and are essential in achieving the most positive outcomes.

Meet Olivia Olson. Olivia is a licensed clinical social worker and excels in providing Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluations (CMDE) for children seeking EIDBI services. Her positive and energetic manner creates a welcoming and comfortable environment for children and their families during clinical interviews. She also has experience in diagnostic assessments, motivational interviewing, and crisis support for patients and families with co-existing medical conditions. Additionally, Olivia has worked as a child mentor for children displaced from their homes due to domestic violence and served as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America for four years.
Olivia has been published in SAGE Publications and has presented at the Cognition Annual Research Program in San Francisco, California, the Society for Text and Discourse Annual Research Program in Atlanta, Georgia, and the American Psychological Association Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from St. Thomas University and a Psychology Degree from the College of St. Benedict.
Meet Maggie, an accomplished professional with six years of specialized experience in evaluating and treating children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Degree and Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Degree at the University of St. Thomas. Additionally, she conducted notable research under the guidance of the University of St. Thomas Psychology Department Chair, leading to consecutive acceptances to the Midwest Psychological Association research conference in Chicago, Illinois. Furthering her academic pursuits, Maggie studied abroad at Bond University in Queensland, Australia, focusing on Psychology and Criminal Justice. Immediately after completing her Bachelor's Degree, she earned a Masters of Clinical Social Work degree at the University of St. Thomas.
Maggie's professional journey includes significant roles such as a Mental Health Technician at Fraser, where she worked with young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and experience in Day Treatment at Washburn Center for Children, specializing in trauma-related disorders and neurodivergence. She also contributed her skills on child/adolescent and adult inpatient psychiatric units at Abbott Northwestern, handling a diverse range of DSM-5 diagnoses.
Currently, Maggie specializes in providing Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluations (CMDE) for families seeking Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI). She approaches her work with a strengths-based perspective, values resilience, and advocates for neurodiversity affirmation. Maggie emphasizes the importance of collaborative efforts of a multi-disciplinary team and early intervention in her practice, ensuring families find her approach empathetic, non-judgmental, and supportive.
Meet Ashley, she is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and a clinical trainee working towards her LPCC. Ashley has over 16 years' experience as a school psychologist working with children aged birth through high school.
Ashley has both a Master’s degree and Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Ashley obtained her Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Ashley has a passion for working with children and their families. Ashley is experienced in conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations using a variety of assessment tools. Ashley has interests in Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social-emotional learning for children.
